  • Chip: ESP32-S3 (Xtensa, vector instructions)
  • Radio: Wi-Fi 4 + BLE 5 (no Classic Bluetooth)
  • USB: native USB device, not only a UART bridge
  • I/O: dense headers, often an RGB LED
  • Watch: no Classic BT; match Flash/PSRAM to the firmware.

03 When to pick it

Use S3 when the product needs USB, a display or extra I/O. For a cheap cloud node, C3 or C6 is enough.
